Let’s face it. The weather doesn’t always cooperate with our holiday plans. Or you simply don’t have the facilities to support all your Faithful Assistant’s holiday dreams. My Faithful Assistant dreams of smores from the moment summer officially begins. We don’t have a fire pit and as much as he coaxed me, I am not putting a fire in the fireplace in the heat of summer so he can toast a marshmallow.
He was so happy to find a video of someone making smores dip in the oven. But the amount of dip was much more than we needed. I realized we could use ramekins and make individual smores dip. I ended up with two very happy boys!
Individual Oven Smores Dip
Chocolate – the equivalent of a Hershey bar
- Spray the ramekin with pan spray.
- Layer the bottom of the ramekin with a broken up chocolate bar or chocolate chips.
- Top with the marshmallow.
- Bake at 425 for 5 minutes.
This was a huge hit and I expect to be urged to keep the ingredients on hand permanently. My Faithful Assistant is delighted to be able to throw this together and have a fun treat in ten minutes. One word of caution. The ramekin was very hot and your Faithful Assistant may need help getting their dip out of the oven.
It’s supposed to rain this evening in Central Maryland. I’m not sure what that will do to our holiday plans, but at least I know that my buddy will have his smores!
