Blueberry Cobbler Smoothie

bcsAre you trying to improve your eating habits? It’s hard to give up sweet treats. But when you take your favorite flavors and put them with some healthy fruit and low fat (or fat free) yogurt, you’ll hardly miss them at all!

That’s what I did with this delightful Blueberry Cobbler Smoothie. I used cinnamon and vanilla and added some almond butter for a little crunch! It was delicious! And in a rare event on the family smoothie rating scale, this smoothie got FOUR thumbs up! Yep! You heard it here! The harshest smoothie critics loved it!

Blueberry Cobbler Smoothie
1 cup yogurt of choice
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp almond butter
1/2 cup or more water

1. Combine the ingredients in the order listed in a blender.
2. Begin blending on low and slowly increase speed to high until the smoothie is smooth!

You could add a handful of oats to this. It might make your smoothie a little thick, but your body will enjoy the extra fiber! Feel free to substitute peaches or some other cobbler fruit.
